Why Can a Restocked Product Cost More?
A clear explanation of how original purchase prices, brand discounts and limited restocks can affect the final listed price.
Initial Stock and Restocked Stock May Have Different Costs
Most products retain their original listed price. Occasionally, a sold-out design returns at a slightly higher price because the replacement stock costs us more to purchase.
Initial Bulk Purchase
Our first allocation is often purchased from the designer in larger quantities and may include a wholesale or launch discount.
The Design Sells Out
When demand continues after our initial inventory is exhausted, we try to source the original product again.
Restock at Current Cost
Replacement pieces may need to be purchased from brand retail outlets at the current full price, increasing our acquisition cost.
Our Pricing Follows the Cost We Receive
When a designer provides a stronger purchase discount, we aim to pass that value to our customers through competitive pricing and promotional offers.
When the original discounted allocation is no longer available, a restocked or relisted item may carry a higher price because it was acquired at a higher cost. This applies only to selected restocked products—not to every product or every restock.
The product remains the same original designer article. The difference is the price at which the replacement stock was available to us.
