Cash on Delivery (COD) Policy – The Fashion Station

At The Fashion Station, we strive to offer a seamless and secure shopping experience for all our customers. To ensure the best possible service and to minimize misuse of the Cash on Delivery (COD) option, we have implemented the following COD policy:

Cash on Delivery (COD) is available only for customers at select pin codes across India and is not applicable for orders with a total value above Rs. 5,000/-.

1. COD Service Charge

We charge an additional Rs. 200 /- on every order placed using Cash on Delivery (COD).

This amount will be added over and above the product price at the time of checkout. The charges levied are clearly mentioned at time of placing the order on checkout.

2. Why Do We Charge an Extra COD Fee?

The Rs. 200 COD fee is applicable due to the following reasons:

  • Prevention of Fake / Fraudulent Orders:
    COD orders have a higher risk of fake or fraudulently placed orders, which results in unwanted financial losses and operational challenges. The COD charge helps mitigate these risks and ensures genuine order placements.

  • Courier Partner COD Handling Fees:
    Our logistics partners often charge extra for handling COD shipments, including cash collection, reconciliation, and remittance processes. The COD fee helps cover part of these additional charges.

  • Limited Cash Handling Infrastructure:
    Handling COD orders involves additional manual processes and resources such as verification, tracking, and secure cash transfers. The service fee helps support these backend requirements.

3. Delivery Attempt & Return

  • If COD delivery is attempted but the order is returned due to refusal at delivery or incomplete address, the order will be marked as Returned to Origin (RTO) casing us financial loss. We may actively blacklist such customers who refuse Cash on Delivery Orders.

4. Alternative Payment Methods

To avoid the extra COD charge, we encourage our customers to use prepaid payment options such as:

  • Credit / Debit Cards

  • UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.)

  • Net Banking

  • Wallets

Prepaid orders are processed faster and receive special offers from time to time.
